finding a great partner is challenging. here are some answers to common questions that we receive.

  • Great question! No, we are not fabricators. In order to align our work with a typical architectural process, we are separate and sub-contracted under the architectural team. We work very closely with fabricators and recommend different fabrication partners depending on the project needs.

  • Cost can vary greatly when creating projects for built environments. There are a lot of unknowns. We do our best to be transparent about what something is going to cost and walk you through the considerations.

Before we engage with you, we will have a lot of conversations about your expectations, scope, and budget. We do our best to avoid designing something amazing, only to find out later there isn’t a budget for it.

  • No, they do not. Fabrication methods vary greatly and so do the costs. Our fees cover costs to create the design, concept drawings, presentations, and coordination with fabricators. We have rough formulas to help estimate what a project may cost, but keep in mind we are creating unique 1:1 pieces for every project. If you have specific budget constraints, we address that early on before we begin designing.

  • We’re usually brought in around design development / construction documentation phase for architectural projects. Our work requires decisions on finishes, wall locations, and elevations for us to be effective. We will work from existing architectural drawings (or draft them ourselves if necessary).

However, please feel free to reach out and let us know if you’re interested in working with our team. Projects take a lot of focus and energy, so begin conversations early so we can ensure we have the bandwidth to take on your project.

  • No, we do not. However - we know many people in the industry and are happy to connect you with them. Please reach out and we’ll do our best to refer you to someone that can be a good fit.

  • Great! Whether it’s fully fleshed out or still conceptual, we can work with your existing ideas and push them to coexist with your space. Our goal is to create a fun experience and act as guides throughout the design process. In the end, we want to make something you are absolutely excited about.
